Luminus
Devices today announced that it has hired LED lighting industry veteran Chad Stalker as director of product marketing for
its illumination business. With significant experience in the solid state
lighting industry, Stalker’s responsibilities will include expanding existing
product lines and developing new offerings for Luminus’ rapidly growing solid
state lighting business.
Luminus has
expanded its PhlatLight® LED product portfolio for solid-state lighting
and continues to lead the industry in developing breakthrough LED light sources
for advanced HDTVs, projectors and other high-brightness applications. Luminus recently began making its high
brightness PhlatLight technology available to lighting manufacturers through
Avnet Electronics Marketing. During last month’s LightFair International show,
Luminus demonstrated new PhlatLight LED lighting products such as multi-chip
RGB and RGBx modules as well as the first white PhlatLight LED.
“Chad has tremendous
experience and knowledge that will enable our company to quickly expand the
reach of our proven, industry leading, high-brightness products into lighting
markets,” said Christian Hoepfner, vice
president of products, Luminus Devices. “He brings an invaluable lighting systems perspective to our
product planning which will help us leverage the unique advantages of
PhlatLight LED technology into a fast growing family of products.”
Prior to
joining Luminus, Stalker was LED Systems Product Group marketing manager for
Osram Sylvania, where he was responsible for product lifecycle management
activities, project management and marketing functions. Previously, Stalker was
with Color Kinetics in their OEM and products group responsible for the product
development efforts delivering next generation LED lighting products and
technology.
